Aspen appoints chief financial officer

Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited has announced the appointment of John Worth as the firm’s new group chief financial officer.

Worth, who assumes his new position with effect from 1 November, subject to regulatory approval, previously worked for Barclays PLC as group financial controller.

He will acquire a seat on Aspen’s Group Executive Committee and is to be based in London, where he will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Chris O’Kane.

Worth succeeds interim CFO Julian Cusack, who returns to his role as the firm’s chief risk officer, with Acting Chief Risk Officer Stephen Postlewhite also going back to his old role as head of Risk.

O’Kane warmly welcomed Worth to his new position with the firm, praising him as an experienced and accomplished financial executive and describing him as a valuable addition to Aspen.
