New CEO of Bowring Marsh named

Marsh has announced the appointment of Andrew Chester as the new chief executive officer of Bowring Marsh, the firm’s specialist international placement broking division.

Chester will retain his present role as chairman of the Global Mining Practice and continue to be based in London when he assumes his new position on 1 October.

He succeeds Nick Bacon, who parts ways with the firm after 26 years at Marsh.

President of Marsh’s International Division David Batchelor described Chester as extremely well-qualified for the role, to which he brings more than a quarter of a century of experience.

Batchelor went on to thank Bacon for his contribution to the firm during the many years he spent with it.
