Ageas underwriters achieve Chartered status

Ageas’ underwriting division has been awarded Chartered status by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

The insurer has met a number of criteria as set out by the CII and, in particular, the award recognises the group’s development programmes and training and competence scheme, which form part of its Underwriting Academy.

The Academy, launched three years ago, is designed to help underwriters achieve technical excellence in all aspects of their work.

As such, it reflects the company’s commitment to professional and technical skills development throughout the business.

Commenting on the CII status, Ageas Insurance managing director, Mark Cliff, says: “Our brokers and their customers can be confident that they have chosen a company that invests heavily in its people in order to provide a high product and service offering.”
