Lloyd’s appoints deputy chairman


Lloyd’s has appointed Andy Haste as senior independent deputy chairman on the Council of Lloyd’s, succeeding Dr Andreas Prindl CBE, who is retiring.


Mr Haste, whose three-year term starts on 1st November, has more than 30 years of international financial services experience.


Notably, he was group chief executive officer of RSA Insurance between 2003 and 2011 and prior to that, chief executive officer at AXA Sun Life.


Commenting on the appointment, Lloyd’s chairman, John Nelson, says: “I am delighted that Andy will be joining the Council of Lloyd’s. He is a highly-regarded leader in the UK insurance industry and his extensive experience in international financial services will be immensely valuable to Lloyd’s.”
