Towergate Insurance has acquired the non-life business of Newstead Insurance Brokers and also of broker, Grenville Westinsure.
Newstead is a Stoke-based firm established in 1988 and under the deal six members of its team will transfer to Towergate’s Stoke office.
Bideford-based Grenville Westinsure was founded in 1981 and all employees including founder, Alan Glover, will remain with the company.
In other news, CCV, a chartered insurance broker and part of the Towergate Group, has announced the completion of two acquisitions with the purchase of D Lawson & Son (Insurances) of Birmingham and M&RE Rogers, based in Oxfordshire.
The latest deals bring the number of acquisitions made by the group since the start of the year to 23.
