Guy Carpenter to open Shanghai branch

Guy Carpenter has received approval from the China Insurance Regulatory Commission to open a new branch in Shanghai, which will be headed up by Phil Xue.

Earlier this year, the reinsurance intermediary expanded its leadership team in China by appointing Hong Guo as deputy chief executive officer and Vienna Cheung as chief operating officer.

With its newly approved branch licence in Shanghai, the firm says it is furthering plans to build a solid network in China, offering a range of reinsurance services and risk management solutions tailored to the needs of Chinese clients.
