Beazley has announced that it is expanding its reinsurance team into Singapore with the appointment of Ben Liang.
Liang is to be based in the firm’s Singapore office, where he will write Asia Pacific reinsurance business with a particular focus on south east Asia.
Prior to joining Beazley he worked for Allianz Re where he was the Asia region’s regional manager and treaty underwriter.
Patrick Hartigan, head of Beazley’s reinsurance division, expressed his delight at the appointment of Liang, adding that he was well-known in Singapore and strengthened the firm’s local presence.
Hartigan went on to say that Liang’s appointment meant that clients and brokers would benefit from better access and sustainable reinsurance solutions.
