Willis names Casserley future CEO

The Board of Directors of global insurance broker Willis Group Holdings has announced that Dominic Casserley will become the firm’s next chief executive officer, with effect from 7 January 2013.

The Board also stated that Willis Global Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Steve Hearn will become deputy chief executive officer of the Group.

Joe Plumeri has served Willis as its chairman and CEO since 2000 and will serve as non-executive chairman through July 2013.

Casserley presently works for McKinsey & Company as a senior partner, where he has worked for 29 years.

During his time with McKinsey he has served in the US for 12 years, and has also acquired extensive experience from working in Europe and Asia.
