Covéa Insurance has confirmed its new lineup of executives who will be leading the firm.
Chief Executive James Reader said that each member of the new executive team brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to the firm that would prove invaluable as Covéa grows.
Prior to the recent formation of Covéa Insurance Reader was the managing director of Provident Insurance, and previously spent over a decade with Ernst & Young.
Colin Batabyal takes on the roles of both Personal Lines director and Commercial Lines director, with the latter on an interim basis pending a permanent appointment.
Laurent Eckert was previously head of Solvency II for Covéa International and becomes the firm’s chief risk officer, with former Operations director of Provident Insurance Adrian Furness taking on the job of Claims director.
Marketing and Communications Director Carol Geldard was previously with Provident Insurance, as was Actuarial Director Simon Kneller.
Lastly, Finance Director Steven Whittaker was formerly finance director for MMA Insurance, a position he had held since 1996.
