Marsh has announced the appointment of David Moylan to lead the newly-established Global Surety Practice.
Moylan is a veteran at the firm, which he has served for more than a quarter of a century, most recently as chairman of the International Division.
In his new post he will remain based in Washington, DC and report directly to Jim Pierce, chairman of Marsh’s Global Industries.
Pierce described the creation of the Global Surety Practice as a crucial step in Marsh’s plan to align surety colleagues across the globe.
Moylan added that ongoing global economic uncertainty meant that companies were taking a more proactive approach to the management of credit arrangements.
