Willis North America has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Avalon Actuarial Inc.
Avalon Actuarial is a leading Canadian employee benefits brokerage and actuarial consulting services firm, based in Montreal.
The 45 employees and leadership team of Avalon Actuarial will join Willis North America’s Canadian operations, and will continue to serve clients from the existing offices in Montreal and Toronto.
Willis North America Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Vic Krauze said that the firm was delighted to establish a presence in the Canadian employee benefits market.
Willis Canadia President and Chief Executive Officer Rick Hynes said that the acquisition presented Willis with an excellent opportunity to broaden its footprint in Canada.
